This year's Channel Chiefs from Sophos are Michael Valentine, senior vice president of worldwide sales; Kendra Krause, vice president of channel sales; John Keenan, regional vice president of sales; Erin Malone, vice president of North America channel sales, and Scott Barlow, vice president of global MSP sales. Each Channel Chief is selected by CRN's editorial staff for their professional achievements, influence in the industry, dedication to the partner community and delivery of strategies that drive growth and innovation.

CRN selected the Sophos honorees for their continued commitment to the channel and outstanding partner programs. In 2015, the Sophos executives accomplished the following:

  • Launched a new and simplified partner program, enabling channel partners to dramatically grow their business
  • Launched a new partner portal with innovative remote management options and automated digital marketing support
  • Collaborated with partners to build out a synchronized security strategy that supports cross-sell and upsell opportunities and simplifies both user and partner experience
  • Employed both grass roots and innovative efforts to remain connected by meeting face-to-face with more than 800 partners to deliver a new initiative
  • Executed key strategic recruitment efforts to attract new partners, resulting in a 25 percent increase of base partners in North America over the last year

Michael Valentine has also once again been named as one of CRN's 50 Most Influential Channel Chiefs. Valentine was chosen based on feedback from solution providers and Sophos' channel partners throughout the year.

"We are all proud to be recognized in this list once again," commented Michael Valentine, senior vice president of worldwide sales at Sophos. "Sophos remains 100 percent committed to the channel. We are only successful if our channel partners are successful. Last year was significant for Sophos, with an IPO on the London Stock Exchange and acquisitions of industry leading email and next-gen endpoint protection technology. In November, we delivered the first milestone of our synchronized security strategy with the Sophos Security Heartbeat. We design programs, products and support based on the needs of our channel and our partners continue to respond positively by delivering continued growth in both our network and endpoint businesses."

"We are honored to present the 2016 lineup of CRN Channel Chiefs, comprised of outstanding executives who move our entire industry forward by cultivating exemplary partner programs and executing cutting-edge business strategy," said Robert Faletra, CEO, The Channel Company. "They represent an extraordinary group of individuals who lead by example and serve as both invaluable advocates and innovators of the IT channel. We applaud their incredible strides and look forward to following their accomplishments in the coming year."
