Five Suppliers Earn Service Excellence Award for Outstanding Service to VHA Members

IRVING, TX--(Marketwire - June 10, 2009) - VHA Inc., a national network of not-for-profit community health care organizations, today announced that it has honored five suppliers for their outstanding service to its member hospitals. Based on input from members and VHA and Novation staff, the winners of VHA's 2009 Service Excellence Award are:

--  Cardinal Lab Distribution: A unit of Dublin, Ohio-based Cardinal

    clinical laboratory.
    
--  ev3: Located in Plymouth, Minn., ev3 provides technology for
    specialists treating vascular diseases and disorders with a broad-ranging
    treatment portfolio that includes plaque excision systems, PTA balloons,
    stents, embolic protection and thrombectomy. A Novation Signature Supplier,
    ev3's strategic relationships provide more than the traditional
    supplier/group purchasing organization, delivering exceptional value to
    VHA, UHC and Provista members.
    
--  McKesson Pharmacy Distribution: A unit of San Francisco-based
    McKesson, it aligns with pharmaceutical manufacturers to deliver industry-
    leading operational efficiency and supply chain integrity, ensuring that
    products reach patients safely and on time. McKesson's 175-year history of
    pharmaceutical industry supply chain leadership demonstrates its commitment
    to continuous improvements.
    
--  Ponder & Co.: Located in Chicago, Il., Ponder provides financial
    advice on debt capacity analysis, debt capacity, interest rate swaps and
    other financial and interest-related instruments  to  health care
    organizations seeking access to the bond markets.
