As you've heard via Wayne's Coyne's colorful tweets, the band have already released their first new studio recordings since 2009's EMBRYONIC, beginning with the digital 12 part single, "TWO BLOBS F**KING," released on Valentine's Day, Feb 14th, and available on YouTube now.

A very limited edition, self-released 4-song 12" color vinyl single followed in March and new songs with THE LIPS collaborating with Neon Indian and featuring the tracks: "Is David Bowie Dead?,""Alan's Theremin," "You Don't Respond" and "DoYou Want New Wave or Do You Want the Truth Part 2."

April saw the release of the first-ever Gummy Skull with different flavored Gummy brain inside the skull (life-sized, completely edible and weighing in at over 7lbs of chewy goodness) which houses a USB drive inside the brain with four new and exclusive songs: "Drug Chart," "In Our Bodies,Out Of Our Heads," "Walk With Me," and "Hillary's Time Machine Machine." These are soon to be rare so check www.flaminglips.com for details.

Warning! You may wish to consult a registered physician before attempting to consume several pounds of congealed corn syrup, sugar, citric acid and vegetable oil in a single serving as 29g of carbohydrates at approximately 2500 calories may cause undesirable and unhealthful results. Side effects may include: dizziness, bloating, sweating, vomiting, temporary food-induced coma-like inability to move from the sofa or floor, discoloration of the teeth or bowel movements of an unusual hue. For best recommended results, immediately place USB drive into a compatible playback device set to maximum volume. Instant boogie will ease physical discomfort and enhance a heightened sense of euphoric well-being. Good luck.

Lest we forget the April 16, Record Store Day release of: "HEADY NUGGS: THE FIRST 5 WARNER BROS. RECORDS 1992 - 2002" comprised of the complete recordings of: HIT TO DEATH IN THE FUTURE HEAD (1992), TRANSMISSIONS FROM THE SATELLITE HEART (1993), CLOUDS TASTE METALLIC (1995), THE SOFT BULLETIN (1990), and the Grammy Award-winning, YOSHIMI BATTLES THE PINK ROBOTS (2002).

Much, much more to be revealed soon. Until then, visit: www.flaminglips.com
