FLIR Introduces E-Series Thermal Imaging Cameras Featuring Wireless Connectivity


PORTLAND, OR--(Marketwire - February 1, 2011) - FLIR Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: FLIR) announced today the release of the FLIR E-Series line of thermal imaging cameras. The new FLIR E-Series line comprises four compact thermal imaging cameras that offer superior infrared diagnostic capabilities coupled with industry-first innovations, including Wi-Fi connectivity to mobile devices such as iPhones® and iPads®. The E-Series models are designed to provide advanced thermal diagnostics for industrial plant engineers, electrical and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) technicians, energy auditors, structural inspectors, and professional thermographers, helping them find problems more quickly and easily, and communicate issues more effectively with state-of-the-art tools.

The FLIR E-Series cameras are small, light, and rugged thermal imagers that offer a wide 3.5-inch full-view touchscreen, up to 76,800 pixels (320 × 240) of infrared resolution, a 4x digital zoom lens, a 60Hz refresh rate, a 3.1 megapixel digital visible light camera with built-in LED lamp, thermal fusion capabilities to overlay thermal and visible light images, large backlit buttons and controls, 6 invertible palette choices, video recording and streaming capability, and composite video jacks.
