FLIR Systems Announces Initial Order for Commercial Shipping Application

PORTLAND, OR--(Marketwire - May 5, 2008) - FLIR Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ : FLIR ) announced
that it has received a 60 unit order for its Navigator™ II thermal
imaging camera from Bourbon Corporation, a world-leader in offshore oil and
gas marine services based in France.
The units delivered under this order will be used for navigation and safety
purposes aboard Bourbon's fleet of offshore supply vessels. This is FLIR's
first sale into the commercial shipping industry, which represents
approximately 35,000 vessels world-wide.
