FLIR Systems Receives $25.4 Million IDIQ Contract From the Naval Surface Warfare Center


PORTLAND, OR--(Marketwire - June 19, 2008) - FLIR Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: FLIR) announced today that it has been awarded a $25.4 million firm-fixed price, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract from the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Crane Division, Crane, Indiana, for its Special Operations Visual Augmentation Systems (SOVAS) Hand-held Imager-Medium Range (HHI-MR) systems. The units delivered under this contract are medium range thermal binoculars and will support ongoing Special Operation Force missions for surveillance and reconnaissance. Work will be performed at FLIR's North Billerica, MA facility.
