Florida Direct Marketing Association Hosts "Getting Direct with Financial Services" Luncheon February 8, 2007

Panel of Financial Services Experts to Address Current Challenges and Best Practices in Direct Response Marketing

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL -- (MARKET WIRE) -- January 31, 2007 -- "Getting Direct with Financial Services" is the topic of the Florida Direct Marketing Association's (FDMA) monthly luncheon being held Thursday, February 8, 2007 at the Westin Hotel on Cypress Creek Road and I-95 in Fort Lauderdale from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The meeting is open to the public with registration and networking beginning at 11:30 a.m., followed by the lunch and a panel presentation at noon. The cost to attend is $37 for members, $46 for non-members. Attendees are encouraged to register online at in advance and save $10 over walk-up registration.

In a world of increasing data management, fair credit reporting and privacy regulations, financial services marketers need the latest intelligence on what's working and how to succeed in direct marketing. "Today financial services marketing encompasses an increasingly diverse industry and goes far beyond simple offers of consumer credit," said Keith Fletcher, FDMA President. "Since south Florida has one of the highest concentrations of personal wealth in the country, it's imperative that not only credit card issuers, but also insurance, investment, retirement planning, and bank marketers know how to both compliantly and innovatively cultivate new customers. Our experts will each present direct marketing success stories from their own experience. Collectively they represent different constituents within a broad industry. We're sure they'll spark ideas that companies outside financial services can test in their own businesses."

Elizabeth Rando of World Savings Bank will headline a panel also including Jamie Marceaux of Morgan Stanley and William Svob of Adcahb Insurance - Blue Cross/Blue Shield. Rando, a more than 15-year bank marketing veteran, has lived in Boca Raton for 24 years and worked for World Savings Bank since 1989 where she was the Regional Trainer for Florida, Branch Manager of two Savings branches, District Manager for one of their loan wholesale departments, and finally Assistant Vice President. She has been a member of Boca Raton Toastmasters Club for over 10 years.

Originally established in 1912 and taken over in 1963 by Herb and Marion Sandler, World Savings Bank grew a two-branch bank into a $125 billion dollar asset company by 2006. Their business practices and customer service led them to be Most Admired Savings Bank by Fortune and Forbes magazines. It merged with Wachovia Bank on October 1 of last year.

Jamie Marceaux is a Financial Advisor and Retirement Planning Specialist with Morgan Stanley, a leading global financial services firm providing a wide range of investment banking, securities, investment management, and wealth management and credit services. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, he worked for three years with the investment firm of Robert W. Baird in Milwaukee.

William Svob is an Insurance Advisor with Adcahb Insurance, a leader in providing quality Auto, Home, Health, Business, and Life Insurance to families and businesses throughout Florida.
