Florida Restaurant & Lodging Show Opens Sunday in Orlando

ORLANDO, FL--(Marketwire - September 9, 2010) -  Restaurant and foodservice industry professionals from throughout Florida will have the opportunity to gain ideas to boost their business, taste hundreds of new foods from all over the world, see dozens of new products, watch cooking demonstrations, and gain valuable information during the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Show taking place at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando from September 12-14, 2010. Highlights include:

  • Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association (FRLA) (www.frla.org), sponsor of the event, is among the most influential trade associations in Florida. Its mission is to Protect, Educate and Promote Florida's hospitality industry which represents a $57 billion industry and more than 900,000 employees, making it Florida's largest employer. Led by Pres/CEO Carol Dover and an active Board of Directors, FRLA has been effective in influencing legislation that has saved the industry $1.2 billion in taxes and fees over the past 10 years.

  • Ultimate Barista Challenge USA brings professional barista to the Expo to face challengers all preparing their signature espresso beverages for a panel of judges. The showdown will feature three flights of espresso frappe, espresso cocktails and beautiful café latte art.

  • World Class Culinary Competitions are managed and organized by the American Culinary Federation (ACF)/Central Florida Chapter (CFC).
