Focus Enhancements Announces Availability of System-in-Package Module for Wireless UWB Applications

Compact and Economical Design Will Lower Cost and Complexity for UWB and Wireless USB Products

CAMPBELL, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 21, 2007 -- Focus Enhancements, Inc. (NASDAQ: FCSE), a worldwide leader in video production, PC-to-TV conversion and Ultra Wideband (UWB) wireless technology, today announced its industry-leading UWB technology is now available in a compact and economical System-in-Package (SiP) form factor.

Based on the WiMedia and ECMA-368/ECMA-369 international standards as well as Certified Wireless USB specification from the USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF), the module (TT•1013) combines the company's analog front-end radio frequency (RF) transceiver chip with its digital baseband processor (DBP)/media access controller (MAC) chip. Engineering samples are available for immediate delivery to customers, which include major personal computer (PC) peripheral manufacturers and consumer electronic (CE) companies.

Products in the CE and PC markets which will be targeted include wireless USB dongles and hubs, as well as devices featuring integrated wireless USB, such as printers, external/remote disk drives, camcorders and digital cameras.
