Focus Enhancements' FS-100 DTE Recorder Named Among Best of 2006 by Videomaker Magazine

Videomaker Magazine Recognizes FS-100 as Year's Best Hard Drive Recorder

CAMPBELL, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- January 30, 2007 -- Focus Enhancements, Inc. (NASDAQ: FCSE), a worldwide leader in media acquisition, management and delivery technology, today announced that editors at Videomaker Magazine have named the FS-100 Portable Direct To Edit® (DTE) Recorder "The Best Hard Drive Recorder" for 2006.

Videomaker Magazine's "Best of" awards are designed to recognize extraordinary tools for the consumer videographer. Editors reviewed a variety of products in each field and judged them based on five key criteria: empowerment, quality, usability, innovation, and performance.

"When it comes to DTE, Focus Enhancements has the trademark," said the Videomaker Magazine editors. "The company delivers a reliable product with a user interface that gives added control to the drive. When it comes to HD recorders, those are two things that will help you feel like you can shoot more confidently."

As an official Panasonic partner, the Focus Enhancements FS-100 is optimized for use with the Panasonic AG-HVX200 P2 camera recorder and can also be used with any Panasonic DV, DVCPRO, DVCPRO 50, or DVCPRO HD® equipment featuring an IEEE-1394 interface. It features the unique ability to record DVCPRO HD or DVCPRO 50 in Panasonic's widely supported P2 MXF format or DV/DVCPRO in up to 10 different native NLE file formats, including Avid OMF, QuickTime, Canopus AVI, and Matrox AVI.

The FS-100 provides a real-time digital back-up to P2 card content and extends the in-the-field recording duration by 100 minutes, even more than 200 minutes with native frame rate recording. The FS-100 enables videographers to record video streams while in the field, and then connect directly to a Mac or PC to edit content directly from the FS-100 or ingest clips to P2 supported applications -- greatly reducing the time from acquisition to distribution.

"Since its release, the FS-100 has generated strong industry interest, accolades and a loyal customer following," said Matt McEwen, senior product manager at Focus Enhancements. "We are honored by this recognition by Videomaker magazine, as it is a testament to both the unique capabilities of FS-100 and our strong foundation of Direct To Edit technology."

Where to Buy

The Focus Enhancements FS-100 is available now through the Panasonic worldwide dealer and distribution network for an estimated MSRP of $2,195.
