Focus Enhancements Introduces Native Apple QuickTime Support for the PX-1 Production Media Server at IBC 2007

PX-1 Production Media Server Further Streamlines HD Workflow, Providing Focus FS-100 and Panasonic P2 Users Seamless Integration Into Final Cut Pro

AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS--(Marketwire - September 7, 2007) - IBC Booth 9.441 - Focus Enhancements, Inc. (NASDAQ: FCSE), a worldwide leader in media management and Ultra Wideband (UWB) wireless technology, introduced native QuickTime support for its PX-1 Production Media Server -- bringing unprecedented time savings to Focus FS-100 and Panasonic P2 users who edit with Apple's Final Cut Pro. With this latest addition, users can seamlessly move content from a Focus FS-100 DTE recorder or Panasonic P2 card into Final Cut Pro timeline for direct editing, while utilizing the asset management capabilities of the PX-1.

"By providing native QuickTime support, the PX-1 gives Panasonic P2 customers and Final Cut Pro users a truly seamless workflow for managing and organizing their content," stated Robert Caldeira, senior product manager for Focus Enhancements. "Users can now acquire P2 content, preserve and/or enhance the native metadata, create a proxy preview, and upload content to Final Cut Pro for direct use in timeline -- all by using the PX-1. No other solution delivers such comprehensive support for the entire workflow."

The PX-1, along with other products in the company's award-winning HD lineup, will be on display in the Focus Enhancements booth 9.441, at IBC 2007 held at the Amsterdam RAI from September 7-11.

Combining professional-grade server hardware with robust media management software, the PX-1 is the industry's first entry-level turnkey Media Asset Management (MAM) system. Designed to service small to medium-sized production groups, the PX-1 uses rich metadata, along with low-resolution proxy preview, to make it easy to find and retrieve media assets quickly. Its intuitive web browser interface gives users immediate access to their media from anywhere in the world -- enabling them to create projects and containers from which content can be copied, transferred, shared or deleted.

The PX-1 can be purchased through Focus Enhancements' worldwide dealer and distributor network. Through October 31, 2007, customers can take advantage of the Focus PX-1 Endless Summer Promotion which offers $5,000 savings on select PX-1 models.
