Following Smart Handheld Trends, Cross-Platform Games Advance Into Gamescom


TAIPEI, TAIWAN--(Marketwired - Aug 20, 2013) - The Digital Content Application and Healthy Environment Promotion Plan is hosted by the Industrial Development Bureau, Ministry of Economic Affairs, and executed by the Taipei Computer Association. The goal of this project is to facilitate Taiwan's digital content industrialists in expanding operations into international markets by promoting Taiwan as a prevalent country in innovative entertainment and multimedia applications, consequently shaping Taiwan into a successful development role model in the global digital economy. In August 2013, we anticipate to organize an exhibition team of 7 gaming companies, collectively named the Taiwan Pavilion, to participate in Europe's most profound trade fair for interactive games and entertainment, Gamescom, Cologne. In the 5-day exhibition (August 21st to 25th), we will endeavor to create numerous business cooperation opportunities, such as international co-development, co-production, licensing, and consignment.

In this year's event, the 7 exhibiting companies will be located in the Exhibition Hall 4.2 of the Business Area (Booth #B029/C028), where displays and negotiations will commence. The gaming products boast diversity and encompass numerous platforms (e.g., mobile game, web game, console game, and PC game). Among the exhibiting companies, XPEC Entertainment, Larger Network Technologies, Wayi Entertainment, and USERJOY Technology will be participating for the 4th consecutive year; Interserv International and Zealot Digital International continue to expand their operations in the European market; and Gamemag Interactive is a new addition to the Taiwan Pavilion.

Of the numerous exhibition items this year, UserJoy Technology will announce its self-developed domestic community game, Kingdom Knights; a 3D sphere-based community game that incorporates kingdom simulation and battle chess elements; Lager Network Technologies will formally market its 2013 grand title, Titania, in Q3, a high resolution fantasy RPG which incorporates Unity Engine technology; Zealot Digital International, a brother company of Soft World International Corp, anticipates to launch its newest title, Fatehunter Online, which is an adaptation of the renowned novel written by Giddens Ko, in August; XPEC Entertainment again anticipates to announce its self-developed original cross-platform IP, Do not Fall PS3 Edition, at the 2013 Gamescom Exhibition; InterServ International plans to launch is first self-developed APP game, Apocalypse Knights; Wayi Entertainment anticipates the international pre-launch of its title, God of Destiny, in Q4; and Gamemag Interactive plans to introduce its title, Weapons of Mythology, to conquer the hearts of many gamers with delicate game animation and superior visual experiences. With numerous cross-platform games, these companies anticipate to provide gamers with new experiences and, following the emerging trends of smart handheld devices, endeavor to create excellent results.

The European gaming market has become the world's largest market for gaming. In addition, Gamescom is the world's largest annual highlight for the gaming industry.
