Under the honorary presidency of Ms. Monique Bastien, municipal councilor and member of the executive committee of the City of Longueuil, the cocktail dinner party of Fondation Carrefour pour Elle (the "Foundation") held on October 27 was a great success and raised earnings exceeding $ 74,000. This memorable evening also highlighted with great style the 30th anniversary of existence of the Foundation.
Featuring Florence K, the talented singer-songwriter, and hosted brilliantly by Marie-Christine Proulx, television columnist at TVA, this festive event hosted more than 200 guests at the prestigious Country Club of Montreal Saint-Lambert, including representatives of several corporate partners, including Stephan Cretier Foundation, Pro Doc, Longueuil, Pharmapar Boni Equipment, Construction Buildings Quebec Normandin Beaudry, Jean Coutu Group, National Bank, Aon Reed Stenhouse, SOGECOR, Diane Lamarre, member for Taillon, Norton Rose Fulbright Canada and many other donors.

Over the past 30 years, the Foundation has contributed over $ 3 million to Carrefour pour Elle. The amounts paid to the organization by its Foundation currently used to finance three services, namely post-residential follow-up on an individual or group basis, prevention of violence in relationships, particularly in schools, and intervention and activities with resident children.
Based in Longueuil since 1975, Carrefour pour Elle is a safe house for women and children who are victims of domestic violence which annually hosts the largest number of women and children on the South Shore of Montreal.
