FONU2 Uses Amazon Web Services to Deliver Performance Solutions to Customers

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL--(Marketwired - Nov 18, 2013) - FONU2 (OTCQB: FONU) (OTCBB: FONU), a Social Commerce company, is pleased to announce that it will be collaborating with Amazon Web Services (AWS) in order to deliver cloud performance solutions and data protection services to its customer base.

FONU2 is currently building a platform that will help its members combine their favorite web services, such as shopping, social media, classified ads and blogging with a secure and fast mobile and web application. FONU2's aim is to become the preferred means by which Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and other social media site users will make financial transactions, using FONU2's distinctive low-cost prepaid debit card.

The FONU2 team has recently been testing its application code on servers across the globe, in addition to testing server load and response time, while simulating hundreds of thousands of connections. The FONU2 platform is being built to handle millions of page requests and database queries, in addition to being able to store thousands of Gigabytes of data. To accomplish all of these requests and be able to offer customers the best possible user experience, FONU2 has decided to collaborate with AWS to deliver the necessary cloud solutions.

During this recent testing and pre-beta phase, is was obvious to the FONU2 team that not only should AWS act as a test bed for the FONU2 platform, but should be chosen to host FONU2's final network on which it will launch. FONU2 was able to determine during this testing phase that in order to support the extreme volume of daily active users, it would cost 70 percent more to host on local servers than to use AWS. It was also discovered during this phase that combining FONU2's security measures with AWS's security features, FONU2 was able to secure and monitor the platform easier than on premise servers. Ultimately, collaborating with AWS leads to increased cost savings for Fonu2, allowing for additional resources to be directed at building a secure and robust application capable of serving millions of users in the future.
