Food Network Champion Eric LeVine Named Montammy Golf Club Executive Chef

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - March 9, 2011) - Montammy Golf Club, based in Alpine, New Jersey, announced today that it has appointed Eric LeVine as its new executive chef.

Chef LeVine, an award-winning champion of The Food Network's popular cooking show, CHOPPED, was also featured on The Food Network's "Food Today with Donna Hanover" and in Bobby Flay's "Ball Park Cooking" series. Eric is the author of a just-released cookbook "Stick It, Spoon it, Put it in a Glass," in which he has put together a collection of hors d'oeuvre recipes to serve as inspiration for anyone who enjoys creating in the kitchen. He has been the host Chef at the prestigious James Beard House in New York and is a member of the James Beard Foundation. He was the recipient of the 2008 International Caterers Association "Chef of the Year" award and was twice named by USA Today as one of the "Top Ten Hot Chefs of America." 

Eric graduated from The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. He lived in France and Italy while immersing himself in classic European culinary arts and honed his knowledge of Asian cooking while working at the world-renowned Otani Restaurant in the Tokyo-based Otani Hotel. Eric has worked with Chef David Burke at the River Café in New York, and one of Eric's own restaurants, Pleiades, in Bergen County, received a three-star rating from The New York Times and four stars from The Bergen Record.
