Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival Extends Through March 5th via Its Online Auction Presented by Travel Curator

MIAMI BEACH, FL--(Marketwire - Feb 27, 2012) - The 11th Annual Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival presented by FOOD & WINE may have wrapped up its last event on Sunday, February 26, but the decadent culinary experiences and one-of-a-kind wine tastings are far from over! The Festival's Online Auction presented by Travel Curator runs through Monday, March 5 and features unique experiences, unparalled travel opportunities, gourmet foods, exquisite wines, and so much more at www.sobefest.com/auction.

"Whether you were able to join us at the 2012 event or not, the Festival's online auction is a great way to continue to support Florida International University's (FIU) Chaplin School of Hospitality and Tourism Management," says Festival Founder and Director Lee Brian Schrager, who also serves as Vice President of Corporate Communications & National Events at Southern Wine & Spirits of America, which hosts the Festival. "There are so many great experiences, items and travel packages in this year's auction -- I usually end up in a bidding war over some of the items myself!"

Travel enthusiasts and foodies are sure to find the perfect package to keep the excitement of the Festival alive long after its signature white tents have disappeared from the sands of South Beach. From a luxury stay in Belize, Caribbean cruises and box seats at the Sony Ericsson to unique dining experiences at the restaurants of renowned chefs David Burke, Michael Symon, Jonathan Waxman, and Geoffrey Zakarian, there is a luxury package to suit everyone's taste.

Wine lovers and collectors will not be disappointed with the opportunity to bid on over $10,000 worth of rare packages. Items available include a case of 2005 Dolce "liquid gold" from Napa Valley, a case of 2008 La Clarence de Haut-Brion, a 1.5 liter bottle of 2005 Schrader "Old Sparky" Cabernet Sauvignon, or a jeroboam of Cuvee Palmes d'Or (2000).

The Festival's Online Auction presented by Travel Curator runs through Monday, March 5 at 7:00 pm (EST). Like the overall Festival, all proceeds from the auction benefit the Chaplin School of Hospitality and Tourism Management and Southern Wine & Spirits Beverage Management Center at Florida International University. View all available packages and items and bid at www.sobefest.com/auction.
