DEERFIELD, IL--(Marketwire - December 13, 2010) - The Food Safety Summit's Executive Educational Advisory Council (EEAC), led by Gary Ades, PhD, have been working diligently to provide an extensive education offering at The 2011 Food Safety Summit taking place Tuesday, April 19 through Thursday, April 21 in Washington, DC. Registration for the event is now open at www.regonline.com/Register/Checkin.aspx?EventID=915415 with early bird discounts available.

A ServSafe® Training and Certification program will be offered on Monday, April 18 and Tuesday, April 19. The Food Safety Summit program kicks off on Tuesday, April 19 with three half-day workshops. Speakers will provide in-depth analysis and give attendees the opportunity to discover how issues including Training For Results; Effective Risk Communication In Order To Secure Food Safety Resources; and the Three Pillars Of A Successful Food Liability Program: Prevention, Response and Resolution are implemented at other organizations. Following the workshops at 5:00 pm the exhibitors will host a Welcome Reception in the Exhibit Hall, giving attendees a chance to meet with the vendors in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.

The conference sessions on Wednesday and Thursday will feature important government issues including Food Regulations: What New Mandates Face the Food Industry in 2011 and Beyond; The FDA Food Code: Content, Adoption and Implementation to manufacturing issues including Traceability, Managing Allergens and Food Defense to pressing issues including Food Safety Media Training and Working with Public Health Officials. Several companies including Alchemy Systems, Bureau Veritas, DeltaTrak, Ecolab, Eurofins, Ingersoll Rand, New Leaf Food Safety Solutions, Romer Labs and Siemens Industry will offer education sessions in the Vendor Track Theaters.
