FootSmart to Drive $750K With StrongMail's Transactional Email Solution

Largest U.S. Retailer of Lower-Body Healthcare Products Integrates StrongMail With Coremetrics and Bazaarvoice to Deliver Highly Relevant Offers in Service-Based Messages

FootSmart has embraced email as an efficient and effective channel for promoting products and for serving more than three million customers with transactional, operational and other service-based messages.

FootSmart's previous platform for delivering transactional email offered limited integration capabilities, which affected its ability to increase the relevancy of its program. By migrating to StrongMail's on-premise solution, FootSmart now has a direct integration with its customer database, Coremetrics' web analytics and product recommendation solutions, as well as Bazaarvoice's ratings and reviews technology.

"When we switched to StrongMail and subsequently improved the relevancy of our cart abandonment program, we were able to increase the amount of revenue generated per each email from $1.95 to $4.00," stated Shrago.

In order to help its customers make informed purchase decisions, FootSmart relies on Bazaarvoice's technology to provide product reviews on its website. By using StrongMail in conjunction with Bazaarvoice, FootSmart is able to seamlessly use email to drive customers to post online reviews at a pre-determined time after the purchase.

"Using StrongMail to automatically trigger an email after a purchase is the primary driver of reviews on our site," said Shrago. "By using Bazaarvoice and StrongMail together, we have seen a significant improvement in engagement."

FootSmart is also increasing the relevancy of its transactional email by integrating StrongMail with Coremetrics Intelligent Offer, enabling it to dynamically serve up personalized product recommendations and offers in FootSmart's order and shipment confirmation emails based on past purchases as well as other demographic and behavioral data.
