The events include live streaming video presentations that provide an overview of the U.S. higher education system and offer guidance on choosing a college, as well as advice for preparing for the TOEFL® and IELTS language competency tests, a requirement for many U.S. universities. CollegeWeekLive events tailored to international students also include information on graduate school admissions criteria, including the GRE® and details on possible funding sources for graduate school. The U.S. Department of State frequently provides expert faculty for such presentations, who are also available to answer questions following their presentations.

More than 12,500 prospective students logged into the most recent International Student Day at CollegeWeekLive on August 13th. Approximately 60% of the virtual event attendees were interested in undergraduate education. Popular academic areas of interest for those attending included business, accounting, math, engineering, IT, computer science and the medical, nursing and the allied health professions. Remarkably, students from more than 190 countries attended the virtual event, with Vietnam representing 10% of all attendees and India and Brazil close behind.

"We've seen tremendous growth in the popularity of our online college admissions events tailored to the needs of students who reside outside of the United States," said Marty Bennett, Manager of International Partnerships for CollegeWeekLive. "This year we will be working directly with the U.S. Department of State on their 100,000 Strong Educational Exchange initiatives."

Complimentary registration is now available for upcoming CollegeWeekLive events. As an added incentive, students who visit with three or more universities during any live event will automatically be entered into a drawing to win $1,000.00 payable towards college tuition.
