For Second Straight Year, BCG Ranks First on Consulting's Best Firms to Work For List

Firm Earns Top Score in Four of Six Categories: Culture, Compensation and Benefits, Leadership, and Career Development

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Sep 24, 2015) - For the second consecutive year, The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) has earned the top spot in Consulting magazine's "Best Firms to Work For" survey. BCG is the only firm to appear on the list every year since the survey debuted in 2001. In fact, BCG has never been ranked outside the top five.

"BCG has been on an amazing and incredibly consistent run the last 15 years. There's simply no question that BCG is an incredible place to work and the very best consulting firm to work for the last two years," said Consulting publisher and editor-in-chief Joe Kornik. "The numbers do not lie -- BCG is the profession's premier place to work."

BCG performed strongly across all six measures of employee satisfaction: firm culture, career development, compensation and benefits, client engagement, firm leadership, and work-life balance.

"The firm's focus on attracting, hiring, and retaining top talent remains its highest priority," said BCG CEO Rich Lesser. "We strive to be the very best place for people to develop the mind-sets, skills, and capabilities to be leaders in the world. We put tremendous emphasis on our culture, our apprenticeship model, and on doing genuinely high-impact work with our clients... The opportunity to have unique impact, grow personally and professionally, and do it in a culture where you enjoy the people you work with makes BCG an unparalleled place to be."

Tom Reichert, BCG's chairman of North America, added that the firm's efforts to encourage diversity, expand flexible work opportunities, improve career development at all levels, and support BCG's large and strong alumni community contribute to the firm's consistently strong showing in surveys.

Earning the top spot on Consulting's list follows other recognitions this year. In March, BCG ranked number two on Fortune's "100 Best Companies to Work For" list, which measures companies across all industries. BCG has ranked in the top five on Fortune's list for five straight years and is one of only two companies to make the top dozen every year since the firm began participating in 2006.

Consulting's 2015 Best Firms to Work For poll drew detailed employee engagement insights from some 9,000 consultants, representing more than 300 consulting firms. The complete survey findings appear in the magazine's September issue.
