PITTSBURGH, PA--(Marketwired - April 08, 2016) - Forever, Inc., the complete memory-keeping solution where moms and other family members collect, curate, and celebrate their memories now and for generations, announced today that it has acquired the assets of pixels2Pages (also known as p2P), a web-based digital scrapbook training company. Founded six years ago today, p2P's international educators, expert advisors, and global community forums have helped thousands of memory keepers around the world create personally designed digital scrapbooks. P2P has over 2,000 members and the majority of these members use Forever's digital scrapbooking and photo organizing software, called Artisan and Historian. For nearly two years, p2P Team Members, affectionately dubbed by their fans as "Pixies," have worked alongside Forever by providing tips, web workshops, and message forums that 'bring its software to life,' and enable users to maximize the powerful tools of the award-winning products.
"Forever is laser-focused on making it safe and easy for people to collect, curate, and celebrate their greatest memories permanently, and making those memories available to families for generations," said Forever founder and CEO Glen Meakem. "Our members have been working hand in glove with the Pixies who've helped thousands make the transition from traditional to digital scrapbooking. We're thrilled that the Pixies have officially joined our dynamic Forever team and we look forward to growing their capabilities as we continue to refine our memory management platform, and the digital scrapbooking experience."
As part of the acquisition, p2P founder Jan McCallum will become Forever's Manager of Support and Training, and several Pixies, including three Australians, will become Forever Team Members. The purchase will dovetail Forever's efforts to launch its first international entity, Forever Australia. Details of the launch, which will include an expansion of Forever's Ambassador Program and print capabilities in to Australian markets, will be formally announced later this year. Forever and p2P have members in all 50 U.S. states and 9 countries. Outside of North America, Forever's largest member base resides in Australia.
"Twenty-two years ago, I left my career as a pharmacist to pursue one of my passions: helping others preserve family memories," said McCallum. "For many years, I worked with another well-known memory-keeping company, and realized there was a growing trend towards preservation with digital scrapbooking products. Unfortunately, many memory keepers weren't computer savvy, and needed help transitioning from traditional to digital formats. So, six years ago, I gathered the 'Digi Dozen.' Together we took a big leap of faith and started our own digital scrapbook training company. We were very successful and created a community of passionate, caring women and memory keepers who are committed to helping others bring their memories to life. We partnered with Forever, and quickly realized that our passion for preserving important memories is shared by Glen and Forever's dedicated employees. It's a perfect fit."
By combining Forever's award-winning digital scrapbooking and organizational software with p2P's expertise in training and global reach, Forever is well positioned to provide personal and comprehensive memory-keeping education to new and existing customers the world over.
