BEDFORD, VA--(Marketwire - Feb 15, 2013) - The location formerly used by a building supplies retailer will be sold at auction Thursday, March 14, with Woltz & Associates managing the sale.
"This is an excellent retail property with a 10,000-square-foot showroom in a highly visible location with a number of businesses nearby," said Jim Woltz, president of the auction company. "This has all the elements a good retail location needs -- size, traffic, and a number of nearby establishments form a base of potential customers and help draw people to the area."
The property, which for years was known as Taylor Brothers Building Center, is 6.77 acres. It will sell to the highest bidder at or above $670,000. "The minimum is less than half the assessed value of $1,437,500, so someone could get a real value on this," said Woltz.
The auction will begin at noon at the property, 1052 Independence Boulevard, Bedford.
The showroom is adjoined by approximately 12,000 square feet of warehouse space, and the building also has office space and a mezzanine. A separate building provides approximately 6,000 feet of covered storage.
Nearby businesses include Walmart, Ruby Tuesday, Southern States, Applebee's, Taco Bell, and others. Individual seeking additional information may visit www.woltz.com, or call 800-551-3588.
