Former Charger Hank Bauer to Host NeXt Generations Gala and Golf Tournament


SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwire - May 21, 2012) - Celebrating 10 years of service to the Tribal communities of Southern California, Inter Tribal Sports (ITS) ambassadors Bill Walton (NBA Hall of Fame) and Lorenzo Neal (NFL All-Pro) invite San Diegans to join former San Diego Charger Hank Bauer at the NeXt Generations Gala and Golf Tournament at Barona Creek Golf Course. ITS is a non-profit organization that unifies tribal youth through structured athletic programs and is committed to ensuring all participants have necessary resources and facilities.

GOLF TOURNAMENT:
The tournament starts at 9 a.m. and will feature contests and an awards reception from 3 to 4 p.m.

GALA EVENT:
The evening gala will start at 6 p.m. and will feature award-winning food, live music and entertainment, as well as raffle and auction items.

The event will feature a day of golf at the Barona Creek Golf Club followed by an evening gala, emceed by former San Diego Charger and TV and radio personality Hank Bauer, to toast a decade of success. All net proceeds from the event will go directly to the organization to continue providing unique services to local Native American youth.

ITS provides athletic opportunities and values education in conjunction with cultural, physical, mental and spiritual development. ITS furnishes youth and communities with occasions to build self-esteem, respect, acceptance and sportsmanship through fun and positive activities, while developing athletic skill and forming friendships, guided by appropriate role models in a sound, structured program that is non-profit, volunteer-oriented and open to all tribal youth.
