Former Deutsche Bank Executives Launch an Investment Banking Firm Specialized in Capital Markets Operations and Private Wealth Management, With a Focus on Emerging Markets

FalconView Capital Partners LLC Expands to New Corporate Offices in Stamford, Connecticut

STAMFORD, CT--(Marketwire - January 7, 2011) -  Roy A. Ellis and Ivan Santillan, co-founders of FalconView Capital Partners LLC ("FalconView"), have announced today that the investment banking firm has moved its head office to new quarters in Stamford, Connecticut, as the scope of its business and the management team continue to expand. Prior to co-founding FalconView, Messrs. Ellis and Santillan held senior positions at Deutsche Bank. Mr. Ellis directed Deutsche Bank's Latin American DCM origination and Mr. Santillan was formerly Managing Director of Deutsche Bank's Latin America Global Markets department, where he was responsible for Latin American client coverage.

"We are very pleased with the growth we have seen in our business and in our management," said Mr. Santillan. "Given the specific experience and past success of our management team, coupled with their impressive network of institutional, corporate and individual relationships in major financial centers and emerging markets, I believe we are poised to achieve even greater success."

Messrs. Ellis and Santillan recently acquired the interests held by minority shareholders of the predecessor firm to FalconView, which they had co-founded in 2008. As a result of the acquisition, they currently own 100% of the holding company that, in turn, owns licensed and regulated broker-dealers in the United States and in the Cayman Islands.

FalconView plans to continue the development of its platform of products and services encompassing structured products, wealth management and private banking. The majority of FalconView's clients are financial institutions, companies and non-U.S. ultra high net worth individuals based primarily throughout Latin America. FalconView's principal trading counterparties include the largest international investment banks.

The firm's geographical reach will continue to expand through Latin America and Europe during 2011 in keeping with FalconView's intention of becoming a leading specialized investment banking firm. Currently, FalconView has a presence in the U.S., the Cayman Islands, Spain, Venezuela and Mexico, and will establish additional offices in Colombia and Argentina in the coming months.

Through its broker-dealers and U.S. and foreign offices, FalconView offers institutional and corporate clients in Latin America access to customized and sophisticated structured investment products and solutions. In the U.S., Francisco Hervella is FalconView's senior banker focusing on marketing throughout Latin America. Mr. Hervella was most recently with BNP Paribas where, as Managing Director, he was responsible for the marketing efforts of Equity, Commodities and Hedge Fund Derivatives products for Latin America. FalconView's structuring function is headed by Andres Talero, whose broad experience in structuring, trading and marketing of fixed income derivative products was gained at Merrill Lynch where he worked with U.S. banks, Latin American corporations and institutions, hedge funds and local governments. The structuring team includes Tom Lionelli whose experience in credit, risk management and compliance spans asset management, broker-dealers, venture finance and trade finance. The FalconView U.S. team is rounded out with John J. Polizzotto, Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer and Greg Gutierrez, who will lead the firm's compliance function. Mr. Polizzotto's experience in financial services was gained in leading financial institutions such as JP Morgan Chase, Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette and Salomon Smith Barney Citi Asset Management. Mr. Gutierrez was an Examiner at FINRA until joining FalconView in 2010.

FalconView's Mexico team includes Rodolfo Rastellino, formerly Head of Sales with Deutsche Bank Mexico. In Spain, FalconView's partners include José Fraga and Juan Jose Delgado, co-founders of InterJuris Abogados. Mr. Fraga is an attorney with extensive experience in corporate, tax, commercial and investment law. He began his professional career in Madrid, at the prestigious law firm Garrigues, and in 2008 co-founded InterJuris Abogados. Mr. Delgado has been a legal advisor to multinational companies and high net worth individuals and families in Venezuela and Latin America, focusing on corporate, financial and tax matters. He was International Partner of Squire Sanders & Dempsey until January 2010 when he founded InterJuris Abogados with Mr. Fraga.

Messrs. Ellis and Santillan have joined with Carlos Castellanos, formerly with Brown Brothers Harriman, Citicorp, Geoffrey Bell and Company and Merrill Lynch, to found Landmark Wealth Management Sarl ("Landmark"). Landmark is a Swiss-based and regulated investment advisory firm that will offer ultra high net worth individuals and institutions access to a platform of best-of-breed service providers, including Swiss private banks and independent asset managers. Landmark will in turn own a wealth management operation in the Cayman Islands that will be regulated by the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority.

"As we prepare to consolidate the next phase of growth with the opening of FalconView Spain, FalconView Argentina and Landmark Private Wealth Management in Switzerland," Mr. Ellis said, "we envisage that this will be a 'vintage year' for FalconView."
