Former European Google Manager Rohit Kumar to Launch Sociomantic Labs in Southeast Asia

Founding Member of Google's Ad Exchange Team to Lead Singapore Operations for Disruptive Global Digital Advertising Technology Company

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - June 25, 2013) -  Sociomantic Labs, the leader in intelligent performance-driven digital advertising solutions for eCommerce marketers, today announced that Rohit Kumar will join the company as Managing Director, Southeast Asia. Rohit will assume responsibility for the company's Singapore-based operations and spearhead the company's effort to bring next-generation performance marketing capabilities into the Southeast Asia market beginning July 1.

  • Rohit brings deep expertise in the online marketing industry gained from years of experience at Google. He joined Google in 2007 and in his most recent role was managing buyers, networks, retargeters, demand-side platforms, agencies, and advertisers in the UK, Nordics, Eastern Europe, and emerging markets.

  • Sociomantic's entry into Southeast Asia marks the first time that advertisers in the region will get the chance to advertise on the Facebook Exchange (FBX) using Sociomantic's real-time bidding and dynamic creative optimization technologies. The platform is also one of the first in the region to offer personalized display advertising for mobile and tablet devices.

  • Prior to joining Sociomantic, Rohit ran his own ad technology advisory business working with exchanges, buying platforms, agencies, and advertisers. Prior to that he was one of the founding member's of Google's Ad Exchange team, leading the commercialization of the Ad Exchange product and bringing RTB technology to the marketplace in early 2010.

  • Before his work on Ad Exchange, Rohit was Industry Manager for Google's Automotive team, where his role involved advising blue chip automotive clients on their online advertising strategies. He has a degree in economics from University of Madras in India and a Master's degree in management from the London School of Economics.

  • Rohit joins Sociomantic at a time of rapid organic growth for the company:
