Former MRY Exec Launches New Creative Agency Decoded Advertising

Matt Rednor, Formerly Chief Strategy & Innovation Officer at MRY, Opens New Agency

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Mar 11, 2015) - Matt Rednor -- formerly Chief Strategy & Innovation Officer at digital agency MRY, where he contributed to groundbreaking campaigns for such major brands as Visa, Coca-Cola, P&G and AT&T -- today announced the launch of his new, full-service creative agency, Decoded Advertising (www.decodedadvertising.com). Decoded launches with strategic partner SocialCode (www.socialcode.com), which provides social advertising managed services and technology that make the world's most valuable brands successful using social platforms.

"Decoded is a new kind of creative agency built for today -- not 50 years ago, or even three," said Rednor, Founder and CEO of Decoded Advertising. "Most creative agencies have it wrong. They're trying to adapt to the way digital has disrupted the ad industry, but evolution is too slow. I took the age-old concept of 'a good idea will find its way' and said 'that's not good enough.' A good idea should have a guaranteed, all-expenses-paid way to success. So, I rebuilt the agency model from the ground up. We went from being all about the work to being about the work that works. That's what Decoded does -- we make the work that works. But we're not doing it alone. Our strategic alliance with SocialCode gives us the advantage to make that happen. I say strategic, but it's more than that -- it's philosophical. Even the names go together."

Decoded will actually integrate with the SocialCode team, working out of the same space and collaborating to build effective marketing solutions for some of the biggest brands in the world. What makes this alliance particularly unique is that both teams will be able to see each other's work in real-time, enabling instantaneous communications and driving faster results for clients.

"We believe marketing must follow a framework where messaging and creative are continuously tested against specific audiences," said Laura O'Shaughnessy, CEO and co-founder, SocialCode. "We have the real-time insights to understand consumers' wants and needs, and enable marketers to deliver better stories, more relevant experiences and improved products. Matt and the Decoded team have a similar mission and understanding of the need to inform creative with data. We are looking forward to working side-by-side with Decoded as we continue to evolve the way marketers interact with consumers."

Decoded's first client is Dollar Shave Club (www.dollarshaveclub.com), the online grooming retailer famous for its viral videos and other direct response content. Dollar Shave Club tapped Decoded to help continue building its brand in social content and advertising. Decoded's first campaign work for Dollar Shave Club will hit as soon as this month.

"Dollar Shave Club is a perfect partner for us because they are cut from the same cloth -- they see the wrong way of doing things and make it right," said Rednor.
