Former Procter & Gamble Executive and EPCglobal Thought Leader Joins Vue Technology Advisory Board

Steven Rehling Brings Standards and CPG Expertise to Item Level RFID Leader

LAKE FOREST, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- April 24, 2006 -- Vue Technology, Inc., the leading provider of item-level RFID solutions, today announced the appointment of Steven Rehling, former Director of Information & Decision Solutions for Procter & Gamble, as Vue Technology's newest advisory board member. After leading P&G's global RFID program and spending two years at the helm of EPCglobal's Software Action Group, Rehling joins Vue Technology to offer his industry insights as the company continues to roll out breakthrough solutions for item level RFID.

During his 32-year tenure at P&G, Rehling gained valuable experience on the front lines of a major RFID implementation working extensively with the world's leading retailers. He was tapped by EPCglobal to lead the development of a comprehensive set of EPCglobal network standards and serve as a member of the Technology Steering Committee. Rehling's accomplished background and hands-on expertise will prove instrumental as Vue Technology continues to work closely with leading retailers and manufacturers to provide item-level visibility across the enterprise.

"Steve is one of the true RFID pioneers," said Robert Locke, CEO of Vue Technology. "He is widely recognized for his contributions to RFID standards at EPCglobal and is well respected for his role on the frontlines at P&G. We expect to learn a great deal from Steve. His insights will be invaluable in helping us grow the company."

At Procter & Gamble, Rehling was responsible for leading the company's entire RFID systems program. In that role, he led P&G in developing, piloting and analyzing the company's RFID business models and applications, as well as setting the strategy for RFID-related systems. As a pioneering leader at EPCglobal, he conceived the idea that led to the ALE standard and played the leading role in defining the user requirements for the EPCIS Data Sharing standard.

"Vue has taken an intelligent, innovative approach to making item-level RFID a cost-effective reality," said Steve Rehling. "From a standards perspective, they have created a remarkably efficient solution that is compliant with all major Gen 2 hardware and software. From an end-user's perspective, the solution is almost infinitely scalable, generates significant value across the supply chain and finally delivers on the long sought-after promise of item-level RFID. This is the kind of innovative approach to RFID that we've all been waiting for, and I look forward to working with Vue to make major improvements to the RFID landscape."

Beyond his recent work with RFID, Rehling's 32-year career at Procter & Gamble encompassed a wide range of systems roles, including director of IT in Northeast Asia, director of IT for P&G's Health Care Global business unit, and manager of P&G's Global Data Services. He also spent six years in marketing, including two years as brand manager for Crest Toothpaste. Rehling has a B.S. in computer science from the University of Dayton and a M.S. in computer science from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
