Former SolarWinds Senior Executive Kenny Van Zant Joins Board of Directors at Puppet Labs

Puppet Labs Bolsters an Already Seasoned Leadership Team


PORTLAND, OR--(Marketwire - December 1, 2010) - Puppet Labs, home of Puppet, the open source leader in data center automation, today announced Kenny Van Zant, former Senior Vice President and Chief Product Strategist at SolarWinds, will join its Board of Directors. This news comes on the heels of Puppet Labs' acquisition of the Marionette Collective, and recent series B funding led by Kleiner, Perkins, Caulfield & Byers.

Most recently Kenny Van Zant was Senior Vice President and Chief Product Strategist at SolarWinds, where he was responsible for products, corporate and M&A strategy. Prior to SolarWinds, Kenny served as head of strategy and corporate development at Motive, Inc., a leading provider of broadband management software. Kenny joined Motive following its merger with BroadJump in 2003. Prior to Motive, Kenny co-founded BroadJump in 1998, and served as its COO.
