Newest Board Member Brings Rich Legacy of Information Security Leadership and Business Strategy Experience to Teradici

BURNABY, BC--(Marketwired - December 15, 2015) - Teradici®, developer of industry-leading PCoIP® technology for secure virtual workspaces, today announced the appointment of Steve Munford, to its Board of Directors. Munford brings a prominent background in information security and business leadership to Teradici, most recently during his tenure as CEO of Sophos.

"We are thrilled about the addition of Steve to our board," said Dan Cordingley, president and CEO at Teradici. "Steve brings exceptional strategic and operational expertise, and his knowledge of the information security industry makes him a tremendous asset to our leadership team. With organizations' continued investment in cloud technology and dramatic demands for security, we look forward to leveraging Steve's valuable experience and insights.

An influential advisor to companies bringing unique solutions to market, Munford has a proven background in security leadership and driving business expansion -- while CEO of Sophos, he led the company through a period of rapid growth, more than tripling its bookings from 2006 to 2012.

"Teradici is a proven leader in cloud-based virtual workspaces with an appealing industry offering and sound go-to-market strategy. Its unique ability to allow organizations in all industries to capitalize on cloud-based resources while ensuring comprehensive security is truly transformational," said Munford. Currently a board member of Sophos, Munford served as chief executive officer of Sophos from 2006 to 2012, following the company's 2003 acquisition of ActiveState, a leader in email security software for which he served as president. Prior to his role as CEO, Munford served as president of Sophos North America where he was responsible for the day-to-day running of the company and its senior management team. In addition to serving on the board of Sophos, he also holds positions on the boards of Carbonite, Core Security, Elastic Path, Quick Mobile and Utimaco.

Munford graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a bachelor's degree in economics and received an MBA from Queen's University, Ontario.
