Former WildPackets CTO Launches Bitcricket

New Network Performance and Analysis Company Offers Services, Training, Software

ST. PAUL, MN--(Marketwire - December 4, 2007) - Former WildPackets Chief Technology Officer J. Scott Haugdahl and Senior Engineer Robert Bullen have teamed up to form Bitcricket. The new company focuses on solving critical application and network performance related problems through analysis services, training, and software. The team is best known for developing the real-time Expert System and advanced visual aspects of WildPackets' OmniPeek. Bitcricket has developed a new IPv4/IPv6 Calculator for free download for Windows or MacOS X.

J. Scott Haugdahl, Bitcricket CTO and cofounder, has spent 25 years in the network industry, with extensive field experience troubleshooting and optimizing the performance of networks and multi-tier applications. He is the author of the book "Network Analysis and Troubleshooting," and is a trainer and speaker. Robert Bullen, Chief Architect and cofounder, applies his logic, graphics, and visualization skills to software that helps others understand the concepts and activities behind their networks.

"Unlike my other cofounders of Gigamon, I am not originally from the network monitoring industry, which provides me with a unique perspective to learn and to make observations about people and customer-focused technology," said Dr. Denny K Miu, founder and CEO of Gigamon Systems.

"I have known Scott as both a tool partner serving common customers and as a fellow engineer supporting Interop iLabs. Scott is a professional with deep domain knowledge and high integrity. Given his track record, I was keen to learn about his next move as an entrepreneur again, having sold Net3 Group to WildPackets some seven years ago. His new venture, Bitcricket, has a great start with its comprehensive network performance and training services."
