ELK GROVE VILLAGE, IL--(Marketwired - March 08, 2016) - Forsythe Hosting Solutions, a division of Forsythe Technology, announced today that Forsythe Data Centers®, its Retail+® colocation facility, has received its ISO 27001 certification for secure management of sensitive company information. Forsythe also passed the SOC2 Type 1 audit for Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements 16 (SSAE-16). The 221,000-square-foot facility in Elk Grove Village, Ill., was previously awarded LEED® certification to the Gold level by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and Tier III certification for design documents and constructed facility from the Uptime Institute.
The ISO 27001 certification ensures security controls are in place at Forsythe Data Centers to address security threats, vulnerabilities and potential business impacts. The ISO 27001 certification includes securing information entrusted by third parties. The Forsythe Integration and Configuration Center (FICC) inside Forsythe Data Centers holds ISO 9001:2008 certification for consistent, documented and high-quality processes and services that install, test and configure technology equipment and software accurately and quickly.
Forsythe Data Centers also has passed its SSAE-16 (SOC2) Type 1 audit. SSAE-16 is a regulation created by the Auditing Standards Board (ASB) of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) on how service companies report on compliance controls. SSAE-16 requires a written declaration to the auditor that the service company accurately represents the organizational system. This report provides a description of Forsythe Data Centers' system, policies, and procedures, and an assessment of the suitability of the design of security controls related to security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy. Forsythe Data Centers is in the process of the SSAE-16 (SOC2) Type 2 audit now.
