Fortified Holdings in Readiness for 2008 Homeland Security CEDAP Program Launch

WASHINGTON, DC--(Marketwire - May 19, 2008) - Fortified Holdings Corp. (OTCBB: FFDH) ("Fortified" or the "Company") wishes to advise that its wholly owned subsidiary, Fortified DataCom ( is in readiness to assist those organizations wishing to acquire the most advanced deployable command & control solution available under the auspices of the Department of Homeland Securities initiative and FEMA program: Commercial Equipment Direct Assistance Program ("CEDAP").

CEDAP complements the FEMA National Preparedness Directorate's other major grants programs to enhance regional response capabilities, mutual aid, and interoperable communications by providing technology and equipment, together with training and technical assistance required to operate that equipment, to public safety agencies in smaller jurisdictions and certain metropolitan areas. Eligible applicants include law enforcement agencies, fire, and other emergency responders who demonstrate that the equipment will be used to improve their ability and capacity to respond to a major critical incident or work with other first responders. The 2008 CEDAP program is slated to begin May 19th and interested parties are urged to investigate this opportunity as soon as possible.

The FY 2007 CEDAP provided equipment, equipment training, and equipment technical assistance valued at approximately $33.7 million to first responder organizations across the Nation. This competitive program is a direct assistance program, not a grant program, and FEMA will provide the equipment and technical assistance directly to the selected jurisdictions. Additional program information is available from the Responder Knowledge Base ("RKB") which is funded through the FEMA National Preparedness Directorate; U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and can be reviewed at:

As previously announced, Fortified DataCom has been awarded a 2-year contract under CEDAP with an estimated total value of just over $2.2M. Under this agreement, Fortified will provide approximately 40 NOMAD C4XSB Incident Command Platform deployable command & control systems per year to a total of 80 units, further expanding the current installed base of NOMAD platforms across the nation.

Steve Cooper, President of Fortified, commented that, "We are ready and able to help those organizations who wish to participate in the CEDAP process right away. We invite potential users to visit our website and take a look at the C4XSB units and further invite them to contact us for a demonstration. We are confident that the NOMAD product line can, and will, make a major difference to first response organizations during times of crisis and are very happy to help simplify and aid in the grant application process itself. This is a singular opportunity and we hope that everyone takes advantage of it. DHS is to be commended for this very proactive initiative."

With the launch of the 2008 CEDAP program, many smaller communities and organization will soon have a chance to participate at a level of proficiency already used by FEMA, DHS, the US Air Force, NORTHCOM's Joint Task Force for Civil Support, the City of New Orleans and others currently deploying Fortified's NOMAD systems.
