Fortified Holdings Ships NOMAD Mission Package to Monroe, Louisiana

Sale Facilitated by Dept. of Justice Grant Funding

WASHINGTON, DC--(Marketwire - October 23, 2007) - Fortified Holdings Corp. (OTCBB: FFDH) ("Fortified" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary, Fortified DataCom ( has recently been awarded a contract for the provision of its most sophisticated NOMAD XSB mobile mesh network communications and surveillance mission package to the police department of Monroe, Louisiana.

The sale was facilitated by a grant provided by the Justice Assistance Grant Program which operates under the auspices of the U.S. Department of Justice's Bureau of Justice Assistance ( The grant program allows states and local governments to support a broad range of activities to prevent and control crime and to improve the criminal justice system.

This sale adds to a growing list of examples where Fortified's technology can be acquired with little or no direct impact to the budgets of those smaller municipalities wishing to achieve a significant leap forward in their command and control communications strategy. The NOMAD Incident Command Platform is a proven solution that quickly deploys and provides effective voice, data and video communications for the management of emergency situations as well as providing highly mobile surveillance and crime fighting capability.

The City of Monroe is situated in northeastern Louisiana approximately 260 miles from New Orleans and is the 8th largest city in the state with a population of just over 53,000. Lt. Bill Webb of the technical services section of the Monroe police department stated, "We are very pleased to have NOMAD in our inventory. We have experienced many situations where its technical features would have made a big difference to us. Our department deals with everything from natural disasters, emergencies, hostage situations, and narcotics trafficking alongside other criminal activities that require enhanced surveillance and communications. We look forward to deploying the NOMAD package in our new mobile command post as soon as possible."

As part of the order, Fortified will be providing a number of portable wireless network mesh access points as well as several wireless remote surveillance cameras including digital recording equipment. The shipment is scheduled for delivery within 30-45 days followed by a brief onsite training period prior to deployment. The contract includes a service agreement as well as a prepaid credit provisioning instant access to Inmarsat's Broadband Global Area Network (BGAN) which is the most powerful satellite communications service for its compact size providing data speeds up to 484 kbps and simultaneous voice and data calling capability.

Bryce Anderson, Fortified DataCom's sales agent commented that, "working with the City of Monroe has been a great experience which has clearly demonstrated that the application of Federal Funding from the USDOJ's Grant Program can empower smaller communities towards looking at successfully acquiring cutting-edge technology that was previously perceived to be beyond their means."

Regarding the sales efforts of the company, Jake Dwinell, Director of Sales at Fortified DataCom, stated, "We are extremely gratified to see the interest for our products accelerate in the Federal, State and Local Government Markets. With the continued addition of sales people familiar with the grant processes available through the program spearheaded by Justice as well as similar initiatives offered under the auspices of the Department of Homeland Security, we are confident that our penetration into these customer bases will continue to expand."
