Fortify Software Selects Xsigo Virtual I/O Over Cisco Nexus for Performance, Scalability

Software Security Firm Picks Xsigo Virtual I/O to Reduce Costs, Streamline Management of Its Growing VMware Deployment

SAN JOSE, CA--(Marketwire - March 16, 2010) - Xsigo Systems, the leader in data center I/O virtualization, today announced that Fortify Software, the market leader in Software Security Assurance solutions, has successfully deployed Xsigo virtual I/O to reduce server I/O capital and operational expenses by 40% in their recent virtualized server expansion project. After evaluating competitive products, including Cisco Nexus, the company selected Xsigo virtual I/O for its performance, scalability, and broad interoperability.

Fortify Software selected Xsigo to provide server and storage connectivity to the company's growing virtualization deployment, which currently includes 40 virtualized servers running over 500 virtual machines on VMware software. With Xsigo, the company was able to reduce server I/O capital costs 50% by consolidating host adapters, cables, and switch ports. Xsigo's remote management capabilities also helped reduce operational expenses by minimizing the number of required visits to the company's remote data centers.
