Fortress International Group, Inc. Appoints Industry Veteran Eric Holzworth as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing

Holzworth to Lead Rebranding and Marketing Strategies

COLUMBIA, MD--(Marketwire - June 22, 2009) - Fortress International Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: FIGI) (NASDAQ: FIGIU) (NASDAQ: FIGIW) ("Fortress"), a leading provider of Consulting and Engineering, Construction Management and 24/7/365 Site Services for mission-critical facilities, today announced the appointment of Eric Holzworth as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. In his new role Mr. Holzworth will oversee the integration of the Total Site Solutions and Rubicon Professional Services sales personnel into a cohesive Fortress International sales team. In addition, Mr. Holzworth will lead the marketing strategies supporting the company's recently introduced rebranding and strategic initiatives.

Mr. Holzworth will also work with the Fortress executive team to consolidate global sales and marketing strategies for all divisions of the company, and will be responsible for implementing and communicating these strategies across all sales channels and field sales personnel. To facilitate Fortress' continued U.S. growth, Mr. Holzworth is charged with recruiting experienced sales personnel in agreed upon territories. He will also manage Fortress' internal and external marketing resources.

Mr. Holzworth has more than 18 years' experience in the mission-critical construction industry. Prior to joining Fortress, he was one of the founders of Rubicon Professional Services. At Rubicon, Mr. Holzworth served as Chief Operations Officer where he supported the company's strategic growth by bringing structure and efficiency to the company's expanding operations. Prior to joining Rubicon, he was Director of Development at Burges Property Co., a San Diego-based data center real estate development firm and was responsible for all aspects of development, including design, construction, site selection, telecom and utilities negotiations, and marketing.

Earlier on, Mr. Holzworth enjoyed a distinguished career in sales and management roles at one of the nation's largest privately owned suppliers of equipment and services to the mission-critical infrastructure industry. While there, he was appointed to open the company's Los Angeles branch, their first endeavor west of the Mississippi. In four years, he successfully grew the West Coast operation from zero to a $15 million a year operation with more than forty employees. His responsibilities as Vice President of the Western Region included operations, project delivery, sales, and customer satisfaction assurance.

Mr. Holzworth has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, and is also a licensed real estate professional in the state of Georgia.
