Fortress McGuinty: Back to School . . . Again and Again and Again

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 17, 2007) - As any first grader can tell you, years of double talk and broken promises + an inquisitive and unrestrained media equals a bad day for Dalton McGuinty.

Dalton McGuinty understands that too, which is why after seven days of campaigning, Fortress McGuinty has held no fewer than four staged photo-ops with agreeable, non-voting age school children in Stratford, Lindsay, Ottawa and today, Markham.

Can you spell "u-n-a-c-c-o-u-n-t-a-b-i-l-i-t-y"?

Kids may say the darnedest things, but they ask no questions: "The premier was questioned about whether he's using children as pawns by holding political events in schools. One poll shows more than 80 percent agree. He says he doesn't see the problem." - CJOH News, 11 September 2007

Yeah, but he didn't use the safety scissors: "McGuinty's campaign moved later Thursday to Stratford, where he read to Grade 1 students at Bedford Public School." - Canadian Press, 13 September 2007

Et tu, Billings Bridge?: "McGuinty's hometown appears to have a problem with the 'education premier's' frequent use of schools as backdrops for his political events." - Antonella Artuso, Ottawa Sun, 12 September 2007

If the McGuinty Liberals are already this afraid to defend their record, how can they expect working Ontarians to trust them for another four years?
