Forum Development Appoints Dr. Boen Tan as Full-Time Chief Geologist

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - June 7, 2006) - Forum Development Corp. (TSX VENTURE:FDC) ("Forum" or "the Company") is pleased to announce that Dr. Boen Tan, P.Geo., has been appointed the Company's full-time Chief Geologist. Well-known in the uranium sector as a leading expert in unconformity-type uranium deposits, Dr. Tan has an impressive track record of exploration and discovery in the Athabasca Basin of northern Saskatchewan. Dr. Tan is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan, and for the past year has been on Forum's advisory board as a technical consultant, where his advice and guidance have contributed significantly to Forum's early exploration success.

Dr. Tan has detailed knowledge of both Forum's main project areas in the Athabasca Basin - Maurice Point and Key Lake Road - as well as substantial experience gained during a 35 year career of exploring for uranium. Over the past year, Dr. Tan assisted the Company in compiling data, directing exploration, and designing drill programs, and his efforts have been instrumental in helping the Company discover uranium mineralization at or near-surface in favourable geological environments for large unconformity-type deposits. In his new role of Chief Geologist, Dr. Tan will continue to supervise and direct overall exploration activities, as well as evaluate new uranium exploration opportunities.

Dr. Tan joined Uranerzbergbau GmbH, a private German company, in 1969, and after a number of years as a field geologist in Germany and Australia, moved to Canada in 1973. As a senior geologist and Project Manager for Uranerz Exploration & Mining Ltd. (UEM), he conducted uranium exploration in the Athabasca Basin.

Dr. Tan was a key figure in the discovery of the Key Lake uranium deposit in 1975. His work contributed to the establishment the Key Lake Mine and the production of 195 million pounds of U3O8 at a grade of 2.45% over the mine's 15 years of operation from 1983 to 1997. Following the development of the Key Lake Mine, Dr. Tan continued to supervise UEM's uranium exploration and drilling programs in the Athabasca Basin, including regional exploration in the greater Key Lake area. In this capacity, Dr. Tan monitored the exploration and diamond drilling of UEM's joint ventures with Cameco Corporation at the McArthur River, Collins Bay and Eagle Point deposits until UEM's uranium property and project interests were sold to Cameco in 1998.

Dr. Tan stated, "I've been part of the Forum team on a project basis over the past year, and during this time I've developed tremendous respect for the experience and dedication of the people we've pulled together, and for their passion and commitment to the projects we have underway. I look forward to devoting my full attention to realizing the significant potential we have for the discovery of an economic uranium deposit."

"We are delighted Dr. Tan has chosen to join Forum as Chief Geologist. Success in the uranium exploration business depends upon retaining experienced uranium professionals," stated Rick Mazur, President of Forum, "and we consider ourselves extremely fortunate to have someone of Dr. Tan's calibre devoting his considerable energies and experience to developing the potential of our properties."

Forum Development Corp. is a Canadian-based energy company with a focus on the acquisition, exploration and development of energy projects. The Company has a 100% interest in over 165,000 hectares of uranium exploration properties and a 65% interest in the Costigan Lake Joint Venture located in the prolific Athabasca Basin, Saskatchewan. Forum is also evaluating a Coalbed Methane (CBM) project in the Merritt Coalfield in southern British Columbia.
