Forum for Corporate Directors Names Four New Members to Its Board of Directors

NEWPORT BEACH, CA--(Marketwire - November 22, 2010) - Forum for Corporate Directors (FCD) has recently named four new members to its board of directors including Christopher Cox, Steven Plochocki, Murray E. Rudin and Robert L. Tirva. These individuals join the other FCD board members who are directors and senior executive officers of Orange County companies as well as leaders from several major legal and accounting firms which support these companies and their boards.

Each of the new board member's business leadership experience and expertise are highlighted below:

  • Christopher Cox is a partner at Bingham McCutchen LLP in the Corporate, M&A and Securities Group, advising global companies on strategic issues, corporate governance, and general business matters. He was previously chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the fifth-ranking leader in the U.S. House of Representatives, a White House counsel to President Reagan, and a partner at Latham & Watkins LLP.

  • Steven Plochocki is chief executive officer of Quality Systems, Inc., which develops and markets computer-based practice management systems for medical/dental groups and small hospitals. Quality Systems was recently included in Forbes magazine's 2009 Fast Tech List for achieving 28 percent sales growth over the past five years and ranked third in its 2009 list of America's 200 Best Small Companies. Plochocki is a recipient of two national American Business Awards for best business turnarounds and the 2002 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award in the health services category in Orange County.

  • Murray E. Rudin is a managing director of Riordan, Lewis & Haden, a leading private equity firm with offices in Los Angeles and Orange County which invests in high growth, middle market enterprises. Focused on business services, healthcare, and government services, RLH currently manages over $400 million of capital and has a demonstrated track record of consistent success over the last 25+ years.

  • Robert L. Tirva is Senior Vice President - Corporate Controller at Broadcom Corporation, a global leader in semiconductors for wired and wireless communication. Broadcom is a Fortune 500 company with $4.5 billion in revenue in 2009 and more than 8,000 employees in 23 countries. In May 2010, Communications Weekly recognized Broadcom as one of the "Top 50 Communications Equipment and Technology Providers in China."
