Foster Wheeler Reports 27.9% Increase in 4Q08 Profit and Continues $59.72 Billion in Projects Worldwide, an Industrial Info News Alert

SUGAR LAND, TX--(Marketwire - February 26, 2009) - Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas) -- Foster Wheeler AG (NASDAQ:FWLT) (Clinton, New Jersey) has announced a fourth-quarter 2008 net income of $99.9 million, up 27.9% compared with $78.1 million in the same quarter of 2007. For the full year, net income rose 33.7% to $526.6 million, compared with $393.9 million in 2007, creating a record high, the company stated. However, the amount of new orders booked in the quarter declined in the company's Global Engineering and Construction (E&C) and Global Power groups.
