Found Animals Honors the Real Stars -- Our Furry Friends -- With Awards Season-Inspired, Month-Long Celebration at Its Culver City Adopt & Shop Store

Leading National Animal Welfare Organization Celebrates Pets and Their Owners With Parties, Pet Pampering Services, Discounted Adoptions, and More

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwired - Feb 4, 2016) - Found Animals Foundation, Inc. ("Found Animals") (www.FoundAnimals.org), a leading animal welfare organization that works to end pet homelessness, announced its month-long festivities for pets and owners alike in honor of the entertainment industry's awards season. The pet pampering activities and festivities will be held at its Adopt & Shop store in Culver City, the only nonprofit pet retail store in California that offers pet adoption, dog daycare, dog grooming, dog training, and a complete line of quality and unique products to support happy and healthy pets. Throughout this month, the non-profit organization offers dental and vaccination clinics, Red Carpet Week, a cocktail party, gifting suite, and more. Guests can also visit Adopt & Shop's Lakewood Center Mall location for the star treatment, with available services that include nail trims, microchipping, adoptions and pet supplies.

"We all know Los Angeles is the entertainment capital of the world, and we are in the throes of awards season. Celebrities are getting pampered and glamorized in preparation for the red carpet, and Found Animals wants to celebrate the superstars in our own lives -- our pets," said Found Animals' Executive Director, Aimee Gilbreath. "Our Adopt & Shop store in Culver City is offering the full glam treatment to make sure our pets look and feel their best."

Adopt & Shop February Events Include:

  • Dental Clinic: Get your pet camera-ready and polish those pearly whites on February 7 from 1:00 - 4:00 pm. This is a safe and low-cost alternative to traditional dental cleanings without the use of general anesthesia.
  • Academy Awards Style: From February 1 - 7, mention the code "RedCarpetReady" at our Adopt & Shop locations, and receive a $10 discount on a grooming. In addition, the week kicks off with a user-generated photo "nomination" contest on Facebook for a chance to win a free, red carpet grooming package (up to $80 retail value).
  • Adopt A Star: Mention the code "AdoptAStar" at any one of our locations, and adopt a pet for $50 from February 8 - 14 (restrictions may apply).

  • Celebrity Freebies: Throughout the month, free nail trim certificate (with $50 minimum purchase, valid March 1-31, 2016), adult cat adoptions are free, and if you purchase a Daycare package, you receive an extra day for free.
  • Countdown to Awards Week: From February 15 - 21, through its various social channels, Found Animals will spotlight adoptable pet 'style' posts, photography, and movie quotes leading into Red Carpet Week.
  • Red Carpet Week: From February 22 - 28, through its various social channels,
Found Animals highlights all of the pets available for adoption, and celebrates new adopters for making a difference in a pet's life.
  • Cocktail Party: On February 25, the month-long celebration culminates with a Cocktail Party & Gifting Suite from 5:30 - 7:30 pm. You and your pet will feel like Hollywood royalty as you walk the red carpet, complete with Hollywood-style premiere lights. Indulge in food and drinks from partners Pitfire Pizza Mar Vista, Hint Water, Essential Chocolate Desserts, and Tito's Handmade Vodka. Human guests can enter to win a dozen cupcakes from Sprinkle's, plus a five-class pass from Your Neighborhood Studio. Pets can score products and samples in the exclusive gifting suite.

"Anyone who has a pet knows they're the real stars in our lives, so we wanted to create a month where we celebrate just that. What better time than awards month?" continued Ms. Gilbreath. "We love hosting fun events where pets and their people come together, but at the end of the day, what drives our organization is the goal of saving pets and enriching lives."
