Foundation for Energy Education Scored Big at First Annual Clay Shoot


HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwired - Jun 13, 2013) - The Foundation for Energy Education announced today that they raised more than $90,000 at its First Annual Clay Shoot Tournament. The event was held on June 10th at the Greater Houston Gun Club.

"The tremendous support from the energy industry is so greatly appreciated and important for our success," Foundation board chair David L. Bole said. "The funds raised from this event will allow us to expand our efforts of educating students and the public on the importance of the oil and gas industry." The Foundation's lead sponsor for the shoot was Acclaim Energy. Acclaim assisted the Foundation in reaching out to its contacts as well as helping plan the event.

The Tournament had over 150 shooters who enjoyed a morning of clay shooting, a BBQ luncheon and enjoyed a beer and wine tasting provided by a local microbrewery. The big winner of the day was Danny Davis with Escopeta Oil who captured the overall individual winner. The Lewis Class A team winner went to The Forest Group.
