Fountain Powerboats' Motocraft Dealer in Greece a Big Success at 28th Annual Athens International Boat Show

Ten Day Show at the Foot of the Acropolis Leads to a Fountain-Motocraft Celebrity Poker Run

WASHINGTON, NC -- (MARKET WIRE) -- January 9, 2007 -- Fountain Powerboat Industries, Inc. (AMEX: FPB), a leading manufacturer of high performance sport boats, fish boats and express cruisers, today announced the results of its participation in the 2006 Athens International Boat Show in Athens, Greece with Motocraft, Fountain Worldwide's exclusive boat dealer in Greece and the Greek Islands.

Motocraft, one of the very first international dealers for Fountain Powerboats, has proven itself over the past three years with sales exceeding $1 million each year. Aris and Alex Zeis, the owners of Motocraft, are deeply involved in the day-to-day operations of the dealership, which their father started in the early 1960s. The Motocraft facility lies in the heart of Athens and is equipped with state-of-the-art sales offices and is the leading Mercury-Fountain service facility in Europe.

"With boating being an important tradition in the Greek culture," said Aris Zeis, "the Fountain-Motocraft exhibit, with its fleet of Fountain sports boats, fish boats, and express cruisers, drew huge crowds day after day."

After the resounding success of the Athens show, Fountain-Motocraft began the process of organizing the first official poker run in Greece. "We are so excited to bring these boating events to Athens," said Zeis. "We have invited dozens of celebrities to the poker run and, with a large fleet of Fountain powerboats, the event will provide marketing opportunities and further demonstrate the superior performance and benefits of Fountain boats, compared to the traditional 'rib' boats, which were once so highly rated in the region. We know how the Fountain boats perform," continued Zeis, "and we are determined to show the rest of Greece how fantastic they are."

What is a Celebrity Poker Run?

A poker run is an organized event using a boat or other form of transportation where celebrities travel over a pre-designated route and, at designated stops on the route, draw playing card(s). The object is to have the best poker hand at the end of the run.
