Four Days Left to Enjoy the L.A. County Fair's Food, Shopping and Fun

POMONA, CA--(Marketwire - Sep 29, 2011) - With exciting exhibits, entertainment, concerts and rides, the L.A. County Fair enters into its final week! Angelenos won't want to miss one last chance to enjoy the diverse fun at the Fair, the perfect destination for families and friends.

Visitors will enjoy the vast shopping selections at the L.A. County Fair with everything from hair feathers and diamonds to helium pets, instant slushy makers, cleaning supplies (who can forget about the Sham Wow), mattresses from Sit 'N Sleep and more. Guests can get a jump start on their holiday shopping at the largest marketplace in the West!

What is more memorable than the amazing Fair food? Deep fried Kool-aid, Texas maple bacon donuts, giant turkey legs, Dr. Bob's handcrafted ice cream, Food Trucks and anything on a stick are just some of the items that round-out this year's menu. And with only four days left, Angelenos must hurry in, or wait until next year to enjoy these delectable treats.

For those looking for something a little lighter, the Fair also offers kabobs, smoothies, pickle pops, granola yogurt bowls and even sushi. Just for the last weekend of the Fair, guests can also enjoy the Aetna Healthy Food Fight and watch 48 contestants battle to be a finalist for $10,000.

On Saturday and Sunday, the Asian Festival brings to life the vibrant Asian culture with street markets, authentic cuisine and a lineup of acts including the America's Best Dance Crew winner We Are Heroes and other finalists, Instant Noodles and Fanny Pak. American Idol finalist Andrew Garcia will also perform a set from his record launching later this year.

On Sunday, Oct. 2, celebrate LIVESTRONG Day -- an annual global day of action to celebrate cancer survivorship -- with $10 Fair admission available with an online coupon. For every LIVESTRONG admission, the L.A. County Fair donates $1 to the LIVESTRONG organization and makes progress toward a world without cancer.

The Fair's End of Summer Concert Series has LeAnn Rimes and Kellie Pickler commanding the stage on Friday, Sept. 30 and Earth, Wind & Fire will remember September with their performance on Oct. 2.
