Four-Level Mega Gym to Open in San Diego at 701 B Street

~30,000 Sq. Ft. "Crunch Fitness Downtown" State-of-the-Art Facility Will Enhance Live/Work Balance in Downtown San Diego

SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwired - January 25, 2016) - EMMES Realty Services announced a signed lease with CFG Downtown LLC to open "Crunch Fitness Downtown." The four-level, nearly 30,000 square foot state-of-the-art fitness center will serve the financial district and complement first-class amenities that continue to elevate the Downtown EMMES Portfolio in San Diego.

The new fitness center represents an approximately $3.5 million investment in the 24-story, Class A office building. Crunch Fitness Downtown is expected to be open in the second half of 2016. Some of the highlights of this exceptional four-level fitness facility include:

  • Glass-enclosed atrium "cardio-deck" overlooking the renovated lobby
  • Tiered memberships, including preferred pricing for all EMMES tenants
  • Locker rooms -- standard and executive facilities
  • Towel service
  • Advanced spin studio with state-of-the-art-equipment
  • Hydrotherapy and tanning 
  • Personal training
  • Group training (including High Intensity Interval Training, HIIT)

The investment in 701 B ( continues EMMES' commitment to enhancing the Downtown EMMES Portfolio on behalf of its investors. The Downtown EMMES Portfolio is comprised of 701 B and three other high-rise office properties: 1 Columbia Place, 2 Columbia Place and 707 Broadway (known as "707").

The announcement of Crunch Fitness Downtown comes as the newly remodeled lobby entrance of 701 B opened earlier this month. The new fitness center will have direct access from both the lobby and the street, with a prominent retail reception area on the ground floor.
