Four SAIT Students Receive Eagle Scholarship Award! IT Staffing Company Invests in Education to Encourage Students to Enter into Information Technology Programs

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(CCNMatthews - May 24, 2006) - Eagle Professional Resources Inc. (Eagle) is pleased to announce that this year's recipients of the SAIT Eagle Scholarship Awards have been selected.

A total of four scholarships were awarded to exceptional students at SAIT who have met the selection criterion. Award recipients include: Kevin Duncan and Evan Haklar of the Bachelor of Applied Technology Information Systems program; and Naomi Arsenault and Daniel Sore of the Computer Technology program. This is the second consecutive year that Daniel Sore is receiving this award. Each scholarship is $500 and the selection criterion is based on academic merit and community involvement.

Eagle established the Scholarship Program in 2001 in an effort to support education and fight the skills gap within the Information Technology (IT) industry. Eagle distributes a total of fourteen $500 scholarships annually to colleges in Ottawa, Calgary and Toronto which represents a total $7,000 investment. Awards are available to students attending Algonquin College, SAIT and George Brown College.

"Congratulations to this year's awards recipients. With their dedication and hard work, these students have truly earned this recognition," said Bill Hanniman, Eagle's Vice-President and General Manager of Western Canada. "Encouraging students to enroll in technology programs is a priority for Eagle. As the economy gains strength, we are seeing skill shortages in a number of areas. Providing financial assistance to technology students is one way to continue to encourage students to choose a career in technology."

Pommashea Noel-Bentley, Director of Alumni and Development at SAIT, gives credit to the leadership of Eagle for the company's investment in scholarships for SAIT students.

"Eagle's long-standing support of deserving Information Technology students at SAIT is a testament to the company's commitment to nurturing the industry and fostering the development of our highly trained graduates entering the workforce," Noel-Bentley says. "The SAIT Eagle Scholarship Awards are a long-term investment in the students entering the IT sector, rewarding their achievements and enhancing their studies and their connection to the industry."
