Fourth Annual FCD Directors' Institute Offers Expert Instruction on Current Board Issues

Intensive Eight-Hour, ISS-Certified Program Fulfills Two-Year Director Education Requirement

NEWPORT BEACH, CA--(Marketwire - September 11, 2007) - The Forum for Corporate Directors (FCD), a leading Southern California resource for achieving corporate board excellence and best practices in governance, today announced program details for its fourth annual Directors' Institute, to be held November 6-7, 2007 at the Hyatt Regency Irvine.

Key topics to be covered in this year's program include compensation committee issues, corporate governance, corporate performance and shareholder value, and the board's role in strategic planning and M&A activity. This program is offered once a year and is designed to fulfill director education requirements in just two consecutive half-day sessions.

The Directors' Institute is an eight-hour Accredited Director Education Program certified by Institutional Shareholder Services, the world's leading provider of proxy voting and corporate governance services. The two-day program will present strategies and action plans for maximizing individual director contributions to corporate boards and for improving overall board performance. The program will be held from 1:00 to 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 6, and from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 7, at the Hyatt Regency Irvine (located at the 405 Freeway and Jamboree Road in Irvine, Calif.).

"This is our fourth Directors' Institute, and we expect it to continue the success of the previous three programs," explained John Rehfeld, FCD Chairman. "We specifically design these sessions to be highly interactive discussions on the major issues concerning directors today. This informal and intimate environment provides attendees the opportunity to candidly discuss complex or difficult topics with industry experts and their local peers. The cost for the two-day Directors' Institute is $395 for FCD members and $495 for non-members.
