HM is a leading provider of innovative still-image and video processing technologies.
HM's hipix is a compression and rich image format technology utilizing ubiquitous video support for creation and display of still images. The integration of hipix with Foxit's PDF technology will allow PDF documents which include hipix images to be:
- Smaller in size, thus reducing storage space. hipix image files are typically 1/5 to 1/3 the size of hi-resolution smartphone JPG files.
- Viewed much faster, increasing performance. hipix photos load at blazing speeds on both desktop and mobile devices. Photos as large as 41MP being loaded within a fraction of a second!
Foxit generated PDF files which contain hipix images will be fully PDF compliant, so they will be compatible with any compliant PDF reader. However, the enhanced user experience is only available through Foxit's PDF technology. Foxit users will be able to create and enjoy documents, magazines, photo albums, brochures, and catalogs containing images of high resolution images with high performance and lower storage requirements.
