FoxT Releases SOX Report Pack

Pre-Built Reports Streamline Audits by Mapping User Access Data That Has Been Consolidated From Across Diverse Server and Application Environments Directly to CobIT 4 Controls Framework

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA--(Marketwire - February 3, 2011) - Fox Technologies, Inc., a leading global provider of enterprise access management solutions, today announced the release of the FoxT SOX Report Pack, the first in a series of packaged reports designed to further streamline regulatory compliance reporting requirements.

FoxT ServerControl and FoxT ApplicationControl, part of FoxT's Enterprise Access Management (EAM) solution suite, provide management and enforcement of fine-grained access controls across diverse server and business application environments including centralized administration, contextual authentication, granular authorization, and consolidated audit logs and reports. The FoxT SOX Report Pack leverages the detailed user access assignments and activity logs that are consolidated by the FoxT EAM solutions, and aligns that information to an organization's internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) objectives.

To execute the mapping required for the FoxT SOX Report Pack, FoxT partnered with Coalfire, a leading IT Audit and Governance firm. Coalfire defined the links between the user access activity data created by the FoxT EAM solution and the assignments to the Control Objectives for Information Technology (CobIT) 4 Control Framework, specifically around the areas of identity management (DS 5.3), user account management (DS 5.4), security testing, surveillance and monitoring (DS 5.5), job change and termination (PO 7.8) and event identification (PO 9.3). The configurable report pack is managed and run using the FoxT Reporting Manager, which features an enterprise class SQL database, automated scheduling, and the ability to create customized reports.

"The FoxT SOX Report Pack provides out-of-the-box control documents for the FoxT EAM solution and an organization's related ITGRC control activities," stated Mark Lucas, Vice-President of Managed Services and a certified internal IT auditor at Coalfire. "The organization can use these reports as part of their ITGRC domain documents, as inputs for audit, or for one of the many other activities within their compliance program."

"The FoxT EAM solution suite helps organizations establish streamlined administration and strong enforcement of user access controls across critical financial accounting applications, databases, and the servers that they run on. However, we found that organizations were still spending too much time monitoring and reporting on the state of their access policies for regulatory compliance," said Lynne Courts, Vice-President of Marketing at FoxT. "The new FoxT SOX Report Pack will make it easier for organizations to audit their ICFR programs and track the specific control activities that are implemented and enforced by the FoxT EAM solutions."

"The new FoxT SOX Report Pack is further proof of our continued commitment to leadership in the enterprise access management market," stated Subhash Tantry, CEO at FoxT. "And since one of the core reasons organizations invest in access management solutions is to achieve regulatory compliance, the ability to efficiently provide proof of that control to auditors and regulators will further increase their return on investment."
