FP Newspapers Income Fund Announces Management Departure

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - July 17, 2007) - FP Newspapers Income Fund (TSX:FP.UN) today announced the departure of Andrew Ritchie as Publisher of the Winnipeg Free Press.

Mr. Ritchie joined the Free Press in January of 2006, and will now be pursuing other interests.

FP Canadian Newspapers Limited Partnership owns the Winnipeg Free Press, the Brandon Sun, and their related businesses, as well as Canstar Community News Limited, the publisher of seven community and special interest newspapers in the Winnipeg region.
