Franke Unveils Industry Innovations at KBIS That Redefine Fun and Function in the Kitchen

Groundbreaking Chef Center Was KBIS 2016 Highlight; Other New Products Include Market's Most Durable Granite Sinks; 3-in-1 smart Faucets That Monitor Water Usage; Multi-Purpose Roller Mat

SYMRNA, TN--(Marketwired - Jan 22, 2016) - Franke, the largest stainless steel kitchen sink manufacturer in the world and a leading name in kitchen faucets, made a bold statement at the 2016 Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) in Las Vegas earlier this week with buzz-generating new products that are the definition of form meeting function in the contemporary kitchen.

If you couldn't be there, here's what you need to know -- and can experience in vivid detail on Franke's new website and on its social channels:

  • Chef Center: It will change the way you think about sinks. Thoughtfully designed and engineered in Switzerland, the Chef Center brings open-concept and multifunctional living into one multi-purpose sink system that enhances entertaining, simplifies cleanup and minimizes noise. The Chef Center system features two versatile, anti-microbial compartments that can serve as a composter, wine bucket, storage bin, or any other purpose imaginable. Adding to its all-in-one appeal, installation of the Chef Center creates a reveal ledge that transforms your workspace by adding an array of custom accessories, including a cutting board, colander, grid, mobile drainer board, push button remote controlled operated strainer basket and Franke's exclusive Roller Mat.

In fact, Franke hosted Chef Yuri Szarzewki at its KBIS booth for "Meal in a Sink" demonstrations during which he prepared various types of sushi using nothing but the Chef Center and its accessories. The Chef Center will be available to consumers in Spring 2016.

  • Granite Sinks: Franke's Granite Undermount Sink series comes in six hues inspired by nature and in nine elegant shapes; and features Franke's Active-Plus faucets in eight complementary finishes. Composed of 80% quartz, the most durable component of granite; and bonded with 20% acrylic resin, these sinks have an enduring, non-porous, stain resistant and heat resistant surface that can withstand continual use and is easy to clean. The Peak and Orca styles incorporate Franke's Integral Ledge, the company's signature feature that allows you create additional work spaces in your sink by resting accessories like cutting boards, grids and colanders on the ledge. Granite Sinks are available now at Franke retailers nationwide for a Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) between $429 - $779 depending on style and finish.

  • 3-in-1 Filter Faucets: The Ambient 3-in-1 Filter Faucet (made of low lead brass and available in chrome and satin nickel) and the EOS 3-in-1 Filter Faucet (uniquely made of stainless steel both inside out) produce hot, cold and filtered water all from one faucet. Plus, these 3-in-1 faucets work with Franke's new filtration app, which monitors usage of filtered water and reminds you when it's time to replace filters by means of a Bluetooth connection. Both faucets are built with dual pipes and aerators to ensure that filtered water and tap water are never in contact. The 3-in-1 faucets will be available to consumers in Spring 2016.

  • Roller Mat: The most versatile and exciting kitchen accessory on the market, Franke's new Roller Mat also fits right onto the Integral Ledge and can be used for drying and draining, as a trivet for hot pots, rinsing fruits and vegetables, cleaning fish, or even rolling sushi. Made of stainless steel, the Roller Mat dishwasher-safe and easy to roll up and store. It's available now in Franke Dealer Showrooms nationwide for a MSRP of just $139.

"2016 is already proving to be an extraordinary year for Franke as we launch products that the industry is lauding as among the most innovative," said Gary Langbo, President of Franke Kitchen Systems. "For more than 100 years, Franke has combined quality, craftsmanship, performance and innovation to fulfill the aspirations of those who love to cook and entertain. As we heard from so many people who visited our booth at KBIS this week, our latest offerings are setting new standards for excellence among those who demand the most from their kitchens."
